چکیده

Abstract The shrimp farming industry is receiving increasing attention globally. However, extending the frontiers of has been a challenge as high stocking density often increases susceptibility to diseases and compromises quality. There huge adoption bacterial‐derived additives in recent decades, particularly Asia. Accumulating evidence demonstrates modulatory effect these functional on animal gut microbiota composition, thus making them potential alternatives antibiotics controlling infectious diseases, such acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND). These could be introduced various forms, probiotics, synbiotics, paraprobiotics, postbiotics. This article aims critically review previous studies that investigated effects bacterial derivatives, species. surge research years indirectly attested immense potentialities additives. Generally, introduction derivatives not only helped control but also demonstrated encouraging outcomes, including better survival rate, immune enhancement, growth promotion effects. It interesting note effectiveness probiotics extended beyond viability bacteria, leading concepts paraprobiotics Although this relatively new area with limited information, consolidate available data provide comprehensive overview state art arena. challenges each domain were discussed towards end insights into future niches.

Role of probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics and postbiotics in inhibition of pathogens

A microbial pathogen is a potentially armed opportunist entity to colonize intestinal mucosa. They have phenomenal ability to evolve and adapt accordingly which further seizes signalling molecules and pathways of host to become pathogenic. In order to colonize mucosal layer, they need to cross the physicochemical barrier formed by intestinal epithelium. This gastrointestinal (GI) epithelium wit...

Probiotics, Prebiotics, and Synbiotics: Gut and Beyond

The human intestinal tract has been colonized by thousands of species of bacteria during the coevolution of man and microbes. Gut-borne microbes outnumber the total number of body tissue cells by a factor of ten. Recent metagenomic analysis of the human gut microbiota has revealed the presence of some 3.3 million genes, as compared to the mere 23 thousand genes present in the cells of the tissu...

Probiotics, Prebiotics, and Synbiotics for the Prevention of Necrotizing Enterocolitis12

Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is a devastating intestinal disease in preterm infants characterized by barrier disruption, intestinal microbial dysbiosis, and persistent inflammation of the colon, which results in high mortality rates. Current strategies used to manage this disease are not sufficient, although the use of human breast milk reduces the risk of NEC. Mother’s milk is regarded as a...
